Skullified Wedgwood dish

This little trincket dish is a piece of the classic Wedgwood Jasper ware, once depicting Sor Winston Churchill, the former Prime minister of England during WW2.

I have delicately hand carved the cameo to reveal his skeletal form. Sir Winston was a man of many skills, painting was a passion and he was known for his dry wit and needle sharp sense of humour. I think in someways this would amuse him.

I make no political statements with my art, we are all flesh and bone and we all must die so this is a memento mori creation and it is what it is ☠️
