large Lignum vitae Skull amulet

this large skull pendant is a bold statement piece. larger than my usual pendant skulls this one is there to be noticed and admired. finely detailed and fully anatomical this hand carved piece will amuse and fascinate anyone who handles it.
He is hollowed out and tunneled through just as a real skull would be.
Lignum vitae wood is one of the hardest woods ever grown and carries a lightly perfumed fragrance in its oils that never fades even after centuries of being worn. it is a durable wood that is tough and hard wearing, it will improve with wear and the rich colours will darken as the wood tans in sun light giving it a unique antique look with in days of being carved. the name Lignum Vitae literally translates as The tree of life.
I have hung this one on a double thickness tanned Manila rope and matching wooden toggle.
