This all time Classic favourite of the coin collectors is an original 1935 Buffalo Nickel, a beautiful coin to start with, now delicately hand carved in the Old traditional Hobo nickel style, popular during the Great Depression when Drifters and Hobos would take small denomination coins and hand carve them in to tiny portable works of contemporary art that could then be traded for a lot more than the coins face value in exchange for a ride over the state line, a hot meal perhaps or maybe a bed for the night or a patched sole on a knackered pair of boots.
