This piece of Baltic Amber has some delicious red and dark orange tones so I chose to carve this piece in to a Scarab beetle. For thousands of years the humble dung beetle has been revered as a protective symbol. Worn in ancient Egypt by all sort of people from kings to workers, these little symbolic bugs represented ever lasting life and safe passage between this life and the next.
Worn for luck and protection, this piece will add some sparkle and warmth to any outfit in any setting. I have strung this one on a natural tan rope with an amber toggle. The rope can easily be removed if the stone is to be palmed or carried.
